Hot corrosion behaviour of LaTi 2 Al 9 O 19 ceramic exposed to vanadium oxide at temperatures of 700–950°C in air

摘要
•Hot corrosion products were corrosion temperature and duration dependent.•At 700°C, V2O5 would first react with AlO bonds of LaTi2Al9O19 to form AlVO4.•AlVO4 plays an important role in the degradation of LaTi2Al9O19 ceramic.•The final corrosion products were composed of α-Al2O3, LaVO4 and TiO2.•The hot corrosion mechanisms were explained based on the related phase diagrams.
