Total Oxidation Of Activated Carbon Over Pdo-Ceo2/Tio2-Al2o3 Catalyst

The work described in this paper is the oxidation reaction of activated carbon with NO2 over PdO-CeO2/Al2O3 catalysts. The starting temperature of carbon oxidation of NO, dropped to less than 150 degrees C over PdO-CeO2 catalyst. The effects of the addition of TiO2 to PdO-CeO2/Al2O3 catalysts on the oxidation reaction of activated carbon were also examined. The production of CO2 at higher temperatures just after the beginning of carbon combustion (200-400 degrees C) was enhanced by the catalyst containing equimolar TiO2 to PdO catalyst.
