The relationship between detachment faults and mineralization in Luolin district, Henan, China

The detachment faults developed in the Tieluping area, Henan province, China exhibit different characteristic at different sites. Our study shows these faults are spatially and temporally associated with mineralization. Minor elements are of obvious differentiation, elements such as Au and Ag tend to be enriched both in the faults and nearby them. The gold and silver deposits are controlled by the detachment faults. The deposits were formed under low-temperature and pressure condition, and the ore-forming elements are from a suite of metamorphic core complex rocks.
