PS12 - 57. Differences in diabetes management between ethnic minority groups and native Dutch patients with type 2 diabetes

The prevalence of diabetes mellitus and cardiovascular disease varies between ethnic populations. Genetic, socioeconomical, and cultural factors may contribute to disparities in variables of diabetes management. We investigated, in a secondary care setting, whether differences exist in the achievement of treatment goals, the consumption of care, and the presence of diabetes complications, between ethnic minority groups and native Dutch.
