Inquadramento clinico e diagnostico delle asimmetrie dentali

OBJECTIVES. The aim of this paper is to provide the tools to accurately diagnose a case of dental asymmetry.MATERIALS AND METHODS. Dental asymmetry is evaluated from a clinical and etiological point of view.RESULTS AND CONCLUSIONS. Midline discrepancies may alter the perception of one's own smile. The etiology of such a clinical picture is referable to congenital and acquired factors, which, if properly recognized, may be treated by means of a therapeutic plan aimed at restoring the correct symmetry of dental midlines.
