PS6 - 32. The association between physical activity and cardiovascular disease and all-cause mortality in patients with type 1 diabetes mellitus; The EURODIAB Prospective Complications Study

It is well established that physical activity is associated with a decreased risk of cardiovascular disease (CVD) and mortality. There are limited studies in patients with type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1DM) which are inconclusive. Therefore, first aim of this study was to examine the association between self-reported physical activity (PA) at baseline, all-cause mortality and cardiovascular disease incidence during 7 years follow-up in type 1 diabetes mellitus patients in the EURODIAB Prospective Complications Study (PCS).
