beta-decay in the neighborhood of Sn-100 was studied at the National Superconducting Cyclotron Laboratory (NSCL). The new half-lives of Cd-96,Cd-97, along with several new beta-delayed proton emission branching ratio for nuclei in this region have an impact on the composition of type-I X-ray burst ashes predicted by network calculations.
