TEACHING AND LEARNING INFORMATION RETRIEVAL BASED ON A VISUAL AND INTERACTIVE TOOL: SULAIR

Due to the overload of information that we face when we use Internet everyday, more professionals that improve the information access techniques are required. More and more universities are including in their Computer Science or Information Science degrees subjects dealing with Information Retrieval, area in charge of developing new and more effective method for information access. But the learning and teaching process of Information Retrieval needs some tools that help the students to visualize the process in an interactive way, so the different concepts could be easily comprehended. In this paper, we present SulaIR, an interactive tool that tries to fill the gap.
