Major depression in HIV-infected patient. Significance of cooperation with psychologist in ART therapy team. Case report
HIV & AIDS Review(2015)
摘要
The prevalence of major depression in HIV-infected populations is reported to be up to 20–40% versus 7% in general population. Early screening, diagnosis and treatment of depression allow to tackle the symptoms associated with this psychiatric disorder before they fully develop. Specific stressors may include: stigma, decreased self-esteem, disruption in relationships with a partner and family, life-style disruptions and sexual dysfunction.
