Mucocelos dos seios perinasais: Considerações em cinco casos clínicos

Paranasal sinus mucoceles are pseudocysts, benign and expansive lesions, which may arise in several ways. The diagnosis, sometimes suggested by the clinical presentation, is made using imaging techniques, including CT scan and, in injuries that occur in specific locations, by MRI. The use of microscopy and nasal endoscopy allows a more conservative and minimally invasive approach, respecting the drainage and architecture of the sinuses, with less morbidity for patients. This paper presents five cases: two mucoceles of the frontoethmoid complex, one of the ethmoid, one of sphenoid, and another one of the maxillary sinus. It is a review of clinical, imaging and surgical features.
