Short-wave diathermy in Irish physiotherapy departments

Electrotherapy modalities utilized by physiotherapists have undergone significant change during the last years. Short-wave diathermy (SWD) is one of the older modalities still in use in physiotherapy departments. This study investigated current availability and usage of SWD equipment in hospital-based physiotherapy departments and private practices in Ireland.
