Abstract The purpose of this paper is to examine the determinants (sociodempgraphic and trip-related characteristics) of travel expenditures for British, French, German and Japanese travelers to Canada. Understanding of the importance of sociodemographic and trip-related characteristics in different markets can help marketing managers identify and evaluate possible target marketing programs.
