An Evaluation Of Communications Management In A Simulated Decentralised Identity Fusion System

Communications management applied to a simulated decentralised target identification system is described, Here two communications management algorithms are compared, One is based on an intelligent information theoretic approach. The other is based on a non-intelligent algorithm, The investigation is concerned with the performance of the algorithms as the communications bandwidth between the nodes of the decentralised system is constrained and the number of targets being observed is varied. The results show that the intelligent algorithm outperforms the non-intelligent algorithm. This is at the cost of increased computational requirement.
