摘要
Hereditary predisposition is a significant issue in gastrointestinal cancer. The most common hereditary colorectal cancer (CRC) syndrome is Lynch syndrome (LS), which we use as a model in this paper. A major problem is the identification and education of individuals at increased cancer risk due to a hereditary syndrome in their family. Extending the reach of care to a proband's first-and second-degree and even more distant relatives is a challenge. A dedicated hereditary cancer center (HCC) is in the position to aid in this effort across multiple hereditary cancer syndromes.
