Investigation of laser-fired point contacts on KOH structured laser-crystallized silicon by conductive atomic force microscopy

•There is a spatial distribution of conductance in laser-fired aluminum contacts on crystalline silicon.•Three radial regimes within the laser-fired contact area were identified differing in their conductance and local chemical composition.•Surface structuring of the silicon does not significantly affect the laser-firing process.
