Remarks on the recursive structure of copositivity

Abstract For polyhedral cones Γ, recursive criteria for (strict) Γ- opositivity of symmetric (n×n)-matrices are specified, which can serve as dimensional reduction principles as well for general closed, convex cones Γ. The procedure proposed seems to be of some practical interest since the computational costs may be held comparatively small.
