摘要
In this communication we compare the performance of classical genetic algorithms (cGA) with a new type of evolutionary algorithms named hybrid Taguchi genetic algorithms (HTGA) when they are applied to the design of a a new ultrawideband (UWB) thin-wire bow-tie antenna for GPR applications. The broadband performance of the antenna is achieved by resistive loading and by optimizing the number of wires and the angular distances between those wires. (4 pages)
