摘要
•Accumulated more than 300 operation hours were accomplished for the moving bed reducer reactor.•Different reactor operation variables were investigated with optimal conditions identified.•High conversions of sub-bituminous coal and bituminous coal were achieved without flow problems.•Co-current and counter-current contact modes were tested and their applicability was discussed.
