OP050 NUTRITIONAL RISK, FUNCTIONAL STATUS AND MORTALITY IN INSTITUTIONALISED ELDERLY

in 30 languages. All data were submitted in an online multi-lingual database. Age-groups were divided into quartiles. 28 day mortality was used as outcome. Chi2 test was used to determine differences in proportions. Results: In the period 2006 2010 a total 81685 patients were recruited in 31 countries. 2546 died during the observation period. Actual intake on nutritionDay was all served in 38 48%, half of the meal in 25 28%, a quarter in 10 14% and nothing in 12 15%. Mean age was 64.1 (18.6) years, 50% were female, BMI 25.4 (5.8) kg·m 2, 44.3% had lost weight during the previous 3 6 month. Mortality increased in all age quartiles with decreasing intake (Table 1).
