A model for predicting the radiation exposure for mission planning aboard the international space station

•ISSCREM is able to predict measured TEPC dose equivalent values at the Zvezda Service Module panel 327 (SM-327).•Measured dose equivalent from GCR and trapped radiation sources are predicted to within 10% and 20%, respectively.•Trapped radiation dose equivalent is dependent on TEPC location and orientation but GCR component varies minimally.
