DRY and BULK atmospheric nitrogen deposition to a West-African humid forest exposed to terrestrial and oceanic sources

•Atmospheric gas and aerosol Nr concentration was measured over a tropical forest.•Nr dry deposition rates were estimated by an ensemble of 4 to 6 inferential models.•Dry and bulk Nr deposition showed maxima in dry and wet season respectively.•Nr emissions from burning and ocean were hypothesized as major Nr sources.•Aerosol Nr was a large component of dry deposition (50%) driven by sea breeze.
