Simultaneous analysis of abundance and isotopic composition of nitrogen, carbon, and noble gases in lunar basalts: insights into interior and surface processes on the Moon

•We measured N, C, He, Ne and Ar in six lunar basalts using stepped combustion.•Data for mid-T range provided insights into indigenous volatiles in the Moon.•The average δ15N value for indigenous N components is ∼+0.35‰.•The indigenous C/N ratio and δ15N for lunar basalts are similar to some C-chondrites.
