Simultaneous influenza A and B infection in a pregnant woman in the context of influenza A family cluster.

•Influenza A and B co-infection was detected in a pregnant on a flu A family cluster.•Co-infection was detected by specific molecular methods and cellular culture.•Influenza primary care screening methods could be underestimating these infections.•Results indicate the importance of vaccination of pregnant women against influenza.•The role of children for spreading flu in the domestic environment was highlighted.
