Comparison of the liaison® calprotectin kit with a well Established point of care test (quantum blue - bülhmann-alere®) in terms of analytical performances and ability to detect relapses amongst a Crohn population in follow-up.

•A newly developed kit for calprotectin measurement (Liaison® Calprotectin) was evaluated and compared to a well established and validated point of care test (Quantum Blue® - Alere-Bülhmann®)•All three procedures gave significantly different calprotectin levels (P=0.05)•Optimal cut-offs (defined as the maximum sum of sensitivity and specificity) for detecting relapse amongst a Crohn's population in follow-up and their associated negative predictive values were also calculated
