摘要

•A full-length cDNA and amino acid sequence encoding SjGPx was isolated.•SjGPx protein is selenium-dependent PHGPx.•The reduction in SjGPx activity followed the reduction in SjGPx transcript level.•Irregular eggs emerged in female uteri and culture medium after SjGPx knockdown.•Oxidative stimulation with H2O2/paraquat resulted in induction of SjGPx activity.
