摘要

•We investigated the susceptibility and immune response of calves to PCV2 inoculation.•PCV2-specific antibodies were detected in PCV2-infected animals.•PCV2 was detected in blood samples and in various tissues in PCV2-infected animals.•Results revealed that host susceptibility of PCV2 is not solely restricted to pigs.
