摘要

•The codon-optimized PCV2 capsid gene (full length ORF2) was cloned into pPICZαA.•Recombinant capsid protein (rCap) was detected in the supernatant of P. pastoris.•The supernatant was used without prior purification as antigen in immunoassays.•The rCap recognized antibodies from pigs infected with PCV2 in the ELISA.
