摘要

•An interaction between the rs165599 polymorphism and antenatal stress on IQ scores was found.•If the G allele is present, antenatal stress can affect IQ at 7 and 11years.•Perceived maternal stress at 3.5 and 7years has an effect on offspring IQ scores.•Higher stress was associated with lower offspring IQ irrespective of rs65599 or rs4680 genotype.
