摘要

•75 adults with epilepsy on phenobarbitone underwent serial neuropsychological assessment.•Phenobarbitone was effective, and well tolerated AED.•No deterioration rather an improvement of neuropsychological functions.•There was distinct improvement in psychosocial functioning.
