Three clustered cases of candidemia caused by Candida quercitrusa and mycological characteristics of this novel species.
JOURNAL OF CLINICAL MICROBIOLOGY(2014)
摘要
We investigated three nosocomial Candida quercitrusa candidemia cases occurring within 2 months in a Chinese hospital. Isolates were identifiable only by DNA sequencing of the rRNA genes. Genetic (via random amplified polymorphic DNA [RAPD]) and protein mass spectral (via matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization-time of flight mass spectrometry [MALDI-TOF MS]) analyses yielded identical profiles suggesting an outbreak. The fluconazole MICs of all the strains were 16 to 32 mu g/ml.
