Isolation and characterization of extracellular polysaccharide Thelebolan produced by a newly isolated psychrophilic Antarctic fungus Thelebolus.

•A newly isolated psychrophilic Antarctic fungus identified as Thelebolus sp.•Fungus produce exopolysaccharide (EPS) at low temperature incubation.•The EPS (Thelebolan) was characterized as a (1→3, 1→6)-linked β-d-glucan.•Antiproliferative activity showed against mouse skin carcinoma by inducing apoptosis.
