摘要
•Green tea polyphenols potentiate the action of brain-derived neurotrophic factor.•Epigallocatechin-3-gallate mediates this effect along with other polyphenols.•This potentiation is mediated by cell-surface associated 67kDa laminin receptor.•Endogenous hydrogen peroxide mediates potentiation induced by these polyphenols.•Exogenous hydrogen peroxide mimics green tea polyphenols in inducing this effect.
