摘要

•A new nested PCR assay based on gB gene for BoHV6 detection was developed.•The qPCR assay based on gB gene for BoHV6 detection was developed.•The qPCR was more sensitive than nested PCR in BoHV6 detection.•Results of nested PCR and qPCR were consistent.•BoHV6 was not detected in the blood clots of wild ruminants.
