Bulk substitution of F-terminations from Ti3C2Tx MXene by cation pillaring and gas hydrolysation

摘要
•Gas hydrolysation shows higher F-selectivity than other annealing atmospheres.•Cation pillaring required for successful gas hydrolysation of Ti3C2Tx MXene.•K- and Na-ions maintain pillaring upon gas hydrolysis. Mg-, Li- and TBA-ions do not.•Bulk F reduction of 78 % achieved by hydrolysis of K-intercalated Ti3C2Tx.•Hydrolysation of K-Ti3C2 yield increased capacity and intercalation voltage in LiBs.
