Polyamine-modulated factor-1 methylation predicts Bacillus Calmette-Guérin response in patients with high-grade non-muscle-invasive bladder carcinoma.

The methylation status of polyamine modulating factor-1 (PMF1) was associated with the clinical outcome of patients with T1 high-grade bladder tumors who were undergoing bacillus Calmette-Guérin (BCG) treatment. PMF-1 methylation differentiated patients responding to BCG from those who may require a more aggressive therapeutic intervention.
