PALSAR calibration and validation - 2005 update

This paper describes the updated status of the PALSAR CAL/VAL and scientific activity of 2005. which is being conducted as a part of the JAXA's ALOS science program. The updated information includes 1) Detailed schedule of the initial calibration phase, 2) Distribution of the calibration targets, 3) Calibration strategy (antenna pattern, polarimetric calibration, absolute calibration. image quality evaluation, noise equivalent sigma-naught), 4) PALSAR data format update, and 5) Yaw steering mode and observation scenario for polarimetry.
