The role and application of STEP in CAD/CAPP/CAM integration

摘要
For the improvement of production efficiency and manufacturing flexibility, CAD/CAPP/CAM systems need to be integrated. The key issue in the integration is product data exchange between the CAD, CAPP, and CAM systems. In this paper, we discuss the important role of the product data exchange standard STEP in the integration, as well as how to apply STEP in the development of our STEP-based CAD/CAPP/CAM integrated system.<>
