Constraint-activated differential evolution for constrained min-max optimization problems: Theory and methodology.

•A constraint-activated differential evolution is proposed to solve constrained min–max optimization problems.•Min–max optimization theorems are proposed to provide theoretical understanding for the proposed algorithm.•The proposed method with an exploitation strategy attains 100% success rates for five test problems.
