The short form of the fear survey schedule for children-revised (FSSC-R-SF): an efficient, reliable, and valid scale for measuring fear in children and adolescents.

•We developed the Short Form of the Fear Survey Schedule for Children-Revised (FSSC-R-SF).•We examined the psychometric properties of the FSSC-R-SF.•Reliability and validity estimates of the FSSC-R-SF were satisfactory and comparable to those found for the full-length version.•The FSSC-R-SF is a short and economical scale for assessing fear sensitivities in children and adolescents.
