摘要
Elixir is an exciting new programming language that runs on the Erlang virtual machine. Erlang, for all it merits, is \"different\" and many students find it hard to begin learning it let alone achieving proficiency. Elixir has many of the strengths of Erlang - it is functional, concurrent, fault tolerant, has pattern matching, encourages recursion and higher order functions -- but has a somewhat Rubyish feel and is easier and more fun to work with than Erlang. There are a number of good Erlang books [2,3,4]. So far there is only one text [1] on Elixir.
