Hydrometallurgy process of cobalt-rich crust

Valuable metals in cobalt-rich crust concentrated by magnetic separation were activation leached with sulfur dioxide. Metals such as Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Mn and Fe were recovered by the process of neutralization deferrization, sulfurization precipitation, pressure leaching and solvent extraction. The preparation of manganese sulfate and manganese oxide (Mn3O4) by crystallization solution were proposed and studied, the regeneration of sulfur dioxide was realized and the decrease of reagent consumption was achieved. The whole process is simple and has low energy consumption.
