Business process integration modeling method based on business process modeling notation

In order to provide a simple and visual business process modeling method for business analysts, a new method named business process integration modeling was proposed. The method regarded business analysts as the end users, and the business process modeling notation (BPMN) was used to express a business process diagram, and the unstructured construction was used to store a business process diagram. Based on the idea that elements'semantics could be subdivided in a business process, the method enhanced BPMN graphical elements'graphical semantics, and a new non-graphical element was introduced to define the process execution semantics. A meta-model of business process diagram was designed, including the meta-model simulation and execution mechanisms. Through developing the business process management system, the feasibility of the method was verified. The result demonstrated that the method was not perfect at present, but it is feasible in helping business analysts to set up executable business process model.
