摘要
SaaS (Software as a Service) is gaining a great deal of attractions as a new software development and delivery paradigm, and service composition and Web mash-up have gradually become a popular way of integrating multiple distributed services for meeting specific business requirements. To validate the service composition technologies we have developed a practice using these technologies to address the real business needs from an automobile manufacturer in terms of requirements, design and implementation. In the case, two existing SaaS offerings, SCM (Supply Chain Management and SNAP (Service through Network for Advanced Planning), are integrated into a newly developed SaaS offering named SCS (Service Coordination System) for meeting the business challenges the customer faces in managing its supply chain. The technologies are validated in certain aspects, rapidness of integration in particular, and the further enhancements are identified for later improvement.
