Potential visual quality of cataract eye

The spherical Intraocular Lens (IOL), spherocylindrical IOL and aspheric IOL were designed with the eye's axial lengths of each element. The measured corneal data, which were described by Zernike fringe sag form, and the individual pseudophakic eye model were constructed. Then the potential white light Modulation Transfer Function (MTF) was obtained by the established model. Given the Retinal Aerial Image Modulation (AIM), the Visual Acuity (VA) and Contrast Sensitivity Function (CSF) were obtained. More significantly, this method was not affected by the cataract level, and it could be used to calculate the visual quality with clinical surgery deviation. Therefore, it is an effective tool for visual quality forecast for cataract patients.
