Electrodeposition Ni-W alloy in the electromagnetic field and performance of Ni-W coating

The imposition of static magnetic fields (0-1 T) electrodeposition of Ni-W alloy plating were studied. The deposition rate of coating as well as corrosion resistance, micro-hardness, porosity and composition of nickel-tungsten alloy films electroplated in different direction and intensity magnetic fields were determined. The feature of the films was observed under SEM and the structure was analyzed by X-ray diffraction respectively. The experimental results are analyzed and discussed, the static magnetic fields on these performance indicators to identify the impact of the rule. The experimental results show that without applied magnetic field, the magnetic coating on the surface to impose more uniformity, delicacy, smooth and the coating containing tungsten, increased hardness and improve the corrosion resistance of the coating, while the Ni-W alloy coating deposition rate decreases.
