When LPG tanks are exposed to external fire, their temperature and pressure will increase rapidly, which may cause the tanks exploding and lead the secondary hazard with much more damage. Thus, many simulation tests are conducted for the thermal response of LPG tanks when they are exposed to the jet fire. The stratification of temperature in the tanks under the action of jet fire is more obvious than that under the action of pool fire, and the pressure increasing in the tanks under the action of jet fire is more rapid than that under the action of pool fire. The temperature distribution and the pressure response are also affected by factors such as tank types and filling levels. Thus, the jet fire is more dangerous than the pool fire.
