Numerical simulation of flow field in the DWP heavy medium cyclone

摘要
Based on the Reynolds stress model (RSM), the numerical simulation of the flow fields in two kinds of DWP heavy medium cyclones with diameter of 1 300 mm was made and their structural parameters and power consumption were studied as well. The results of the numerical simulation research made to the three-dimensional velocity, pressure strength, density and air column of each flow field indicate that, the short-circuit flow circumstances exist in the cyclones and compared with the DWP single-medium inlet cyclone, the DWP dual-medium inlet cyclone is superior in separation efficiency and capacity, and even reduces by 33% in power consumption.
