Tris(ethylenediamine-κ2N,N′)zinc(II) bis(1,2-dicyanoethylenedithiolato-κ2S,S′)cuprate(II)

The title complex, [Zn(C2H8N2) 3][Cu(C4N2S2)2], exists as discrete ions. The cation lies on a twofold rotation axis and the anion lies on an inversion centre. The [Zn(C2H8N2) 3]2+ cation exhibits a distorted octahedral geometry. In the [Cu(C4N2S2)2]2- anion, the CuII atom is in a slightly distorted square-planar environment.
