Subdivision generation for the blending of quadratic surfaces

An effective algorithm to generate subdivision scheme for the implicit algebraic surfaces of symmetric form is given in this paper. First we introduce the parametrization of a kind of implicit blending surfaces. Then we generally construct the subdivision scheme of the kth-degree NURBS curve. Combining the parametrization with the above construction of subdivision scheme, we finally present the algorithm of subdivision scheme for the implicit algebraic surfaces.
