摘要
Trichloroethylene (TCE) is the most commonly detected organic contaminant in groundwater and is also found in potable supplies since it is used in very large quantities and often disposed of in an uncontrolled manner. The main target contaminant of this experimental research is trichloroethylene. Batch experiments were used to study the impact of a sterilized, mixed population of microorganisms on adsorption of trichloroethylene. Test results show that at 25 degreesC the adsorption and desorption of trichloroethylene for concentrations from 10 to 200 mg/L can be well described by the Freundlich isotherm. Adsorption equilibrium is found within fifteen minutes whereas desorption equilibrium is found within one hour.
